Close up of a seashore. Having mental and physical space to process emotions is what counselling offers to autistic adults.

How does therapy help?

There are no false promises in counselling. But there is a great deal of usefulness in being listened to properly and in being genuinely accepted as a unique human being that you are.

What you can expect to gain:

  1. Relief at finally being understood

  2. Clarity about what is going on for you

  3. Practical ways to address concerns

  4. Support with implementing changes

Here are the key points about therapy with me:

  • You choose what to explore. I will work with you on getting to the core of the issues so that you know what is happening for you and why

  • If you don't know where to start and open-ended questions are difficult we can co-create a structure to your sessions

  • I am here to support you with making sense of your experiences. No more being weighed down by endless rumination

  • Together we will visualise your desired reality and work towards an achievable version, given your resources

  • The ultimate aim is for you to start living a fulfilling life comfortably as swiftly as possible.
