Moving on to the scarier part: the pilot study with synthetic data

I am now in month seven of the PhD and a few key milestones have been achieved: Research Form 1 approved, positionality section written, ethics submission in progress. The quant element of the project is by far the most complex, both technically and operationally. So I want to give it as much time as possible. In this video I explain the function of the pilot study with synthetic data in the method development.




About the author

Lii Brooke is a BACP-accredited autistic counsellor and doctoral researcher, supporting autistic professionals in demanding careers with burnout recovery and workplace masking reduction. She draws on clinical training, doctoral research at Sheffield Hallam University and lived experience as an autistic person in a management consultancy tech role alongside private practice.

Lii works in person from a dedicated therapy studio in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, and online across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Her research investigates how autistic adults' own understanding of autism shapes their life outcomes.
